Chef Cory Sheldon joined The Boathouse crew in 2006. Before moving to Richmond, Cory was a chef at Massanutten Resort. As Chef de Cuisine at The Boathouse at Sunday Park, Cory helped design the menu that earned recognition both locally and nationally as a Distinguished Restaurant of North America.
Cory sought to diversify his culinary experience, working at such Richmond restaurants as Buzz and Ned’s, The Doubletree by Hilton, and Charles City Tavern. Cory returned to The Boathouse in 2012 as The Executive Chef at Rocketts Landing. Cory explains that he came back because of “the opportunity to be part of a successful and growing concept, [working] with a great group of people who want to better themselves and the people around them.” Now, acting as the Corporate Chef of The Boathouse Restaurant Group, Chef Cory leads the chef team and oversees cuisine development.
Cory and his wife, Michelle, are the proud parents of a 7-year-old daughter and 4-year-old son.
