Erica Harrison is the pastry chef at Pasture and Comfort in Richmond, Virginia.
A graduate of James Madison University and a Virginia-native, Erica began with a thirteen-year public relations career at National Public Radio in Washington, D.C.
Combining a past love of undergraduate studio art studies and inspiration from baking nostalgic sweets while moonlighting for Liz Davis at The Dairy Godmother in Alexandria, Erica switched gears and joined the team of Charm City Cakes as a decorator, following a move to Baltimore in 2002.
Erica was a member of Food Network’s “Ace of Cakes” for ten seasons — sculpting and decorating edible art alongside a stellar team of master cake designers. She has helped create cakes for The Barack Obama 2013 Inauguration Commander-In-Chief’s Ball, Shakespeare’s Globe Theater, Back to the Future 30th Anniversary, ABC’s Lost, Lollapalooza, and the Baltimore Orioles.
When she and her husband John relocated to his hometown of Richmond in 2014, Erica joined forces with Jason Alley and Michele Jones — with whom she is honored to develop Southern treats for both of their downtown restaurants.
