Lara Templin

K. Lara Templin has been working in museum education for 20 years, and has been with the Jamestown Yorktown Foundation since 1999.  Historic foodways has long been a passion, including Native American and African influences on the development of American cuisine.  Since she comes to history from a science background (she has Master’s degree in biology from William and Mary), she particularly enjoys teaching the public subjects like foodways which can be interdisciplinary in approach.  Whenever she has a chance, she likes to cook historic recipes over a fire at either Jamestown Settlement or Yorktown Victory Center.
